ODAI: Agentic AI Assistant
UX/UI system, onboarding, and product strategy for an AI action agent.
Overview
ODAI, short for One Destination AI, was an experimental agentic assistant that connects large language models with real-world APIs to perform actual tasks, not just chat. The goal was to design a unified UX where users could ask for actions (“book me a flight,” “pay this bill,” “find tickets”) and ODAI would securely handle them via pre-approved integrations.
Built for early tech adopters and busy professionals, ODAI aimed to simplify how people interact with the services they already use. I led UX and UI design, brand identity, pitch deck creation, marketing, and product strategy. The marketing site was designed and hand-coded in HTML5, Bootstrap, and vanilla JS, featuring smooth animations, responsive layouts, and scroll-triggered visuals that aligned with the brand system and investor narrative.
Challenge
Most AI products stop at conversation. They generate answers, not outcomes. Our challenge was to bridge that gap between intent and execution while maintaining user trust and clarity. From a UX standpoint, users needed to feel safe authorizing personal accounts and actions. From a business perspective, the product had to quickly communicate its unique “real-world action” layer, something that set ODAI apart from traditional chat-based AI tools.
Process
- Discovery & Research: Defined audience segments, ran stakeholder interviews, and mapped journeys to uncover trust and clarity gaps in AI-assistant onboarding.
- Architecture & Flows: Created a transparent “Ask → Authorize → Execute” interaction model to clearly communicate ODAI’s decision-making steps.
- High-Fidelity UI & Prototyping: Built responsive prototypes with contextual task cards, integration previews, and dynamic state feedback.
- Design System & Branding: Developed a minimal, technical brand identity with typography, color system, logo, and visual language that extended seamlessly from product UI to marketing materials.
- Marketing & Pitch Collateral: Designed and coded the marketing site in HTML5/Bootstrap and built the investor pitch deck that introduced ODAI’s agentic framework and ecosystem vision.
Outcome & Learnings
The MVP successfully demonstrated agentic task execution across multiple integrations and served as a compelling artifact for investor pitches and early-adopter testing. Although the project later paused due to funding shifts, the design system, brand foundation, prototype, and marketing site remain strong proof-of-concept /assets for future AI-driven productivity tools.
This project reinforced the importance of designing for trust in emerging AI products — and how combining UX, brand, and communication design can accelerate clarity and investor confidence during early-stage development.
